Beim Vektor™ Kontrabass Pickup werden die Schwingungen nicht, wie bei vielen Piezo- Tonabnehmern, am Steg abgenommen, sondern direkt von der Decke. Dadurch werden Saitengeräusche verringert und der verstärkte Klang ist viel naturgetreuer. Eine Veränderung der Verstärkereinstellung beim Wechseln vom pizzicato- zum arco-Spiel ist nicht von Nöten!

Die Montage ist einfach und schnell. Durch Drehen der Feststellschraube, in dem die Mikrofonkapsel steckt, wird der Pickup fixiert und gleichzeitig justiert. Die besten Ergebnisse erzielt man in der Mitte des Steges zwischen den beiden Füßen. Der akustische Klang des Kontrabasses wird nicht nennenswert beeinträchtigt!

Der Tonabnehmer benötigt 9V Phantomspeisung, die entweder durch einen entsprechenden Verstärker oder einen Vorverstärker bereitgestellt werden kann.

The Vektor™ Double Bass Pickup picks up the vibrations from the top of the bass and not the bridge. So it's really picking up more the body and not the string noise like many piezo pickups do. Therefore the amplified sound is far more natural. A change of the amp setup while changing fro arco- to pizz mode is unneccassary.

Mounting is easy and quickly done. By turning the fixation screw. which keeps the microphone capsule inside, the pickup is fixed and adjusted. Best results are reported from the position in the middle of the bridge between the feet. An impact on the acoustic sound is not worth mentioning

The pickup needs 9V phantom power which can either be supplied by a suitable amplifier or a pre-amp with a phantom power function.
